Our West studio location is located in Northern Fauquier County and is also perfect for Western Loudoun County residents.

Piedmont Strings Academy - West is led by Dr. Tara Planeta of the Atoka String Quartet. She holds a Doctorate in Education, and Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Music Performance. Dr. Planeta has been teaching since 1997, has taught ages 3-85, beginner through college-level, and private/classroom/group classes. She is also the director of the Piedmont Youth Symphony in Warrenton. Dr. Planeta comes from the old European-school training and teaches with an emphasis on technique and theory. She believes it is important to shape each student relationship with a holistic approach to the individual.
